If you are still looking for a house next year, this guide should hopefully help you pick which area is best for you to live in. As it can be overwhelming choosing your next house, that’s why we have split this guide up into areas to help you choose which area would be best suited for you. City Centre Newcastle city centre is always lively, and there is always something to do! Therefore, this does reflect in the prices for this area, as they may be more expensive. However, you will have everything on your doorstep, with only a short walk to both universities. Jesmond Jesmond is a lively student area, however it has a mixture of families and students. Wherever you live, you will at some point end up on Osborne road, the legendary road of bars, hotels and restaurants. A little further walk to the city and universities, however, Jesmond has everything you need from Tesco, Waitrose, a pharmacy to Starbucks and a fine Wine Shop for those ‘rahs’.
